Alanna Fields is a visual artist from Washington, D.C. who currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. She is a MFA Photography candidate at Pratt Institute and a 2018 Gordon Parks Scholar. Through various mediums her work aims to give visibility to underrepresented narratives, nuanced by race, class, gender and sexuality. Articulated in this work are the ways these experiences are both collective and intersectional, hoping to be a lens through which people outside of these narratives can extend compassion and combat prejudices.
Alanna is currently available for exhibitions, commissioned work and residencies.
